When you get up in the morning do you ever think about how you want to feel that day? I know I don’t. I wake up, start my day and let the circumstances of what’s happening guide my feelings.
Until I realized it didn’t have to be that way. I like to listen to the Jess Lively podcast, she’s all about living the life you want through setting your intentions. I like her podcast a lot, I’ll admit some of it is a little woo-woo for me but I always find what she says interesting.
She has one podcast that especially caught my attention. It’s a 14-minute guided meditation that helps you get into alignment and decide what kind of mood you want to be in. You’re setting your mood for the day. Instead of letting the day decide what mood you’re going to be in, you’re proactive and you decide for yourself. I never realized before I listened to this podcast that I wasn’t setting my mood for the day. There was nothing proactive about how I was going to feel.
But then I tried Lively’s 14-minute meditation. I’ve tried it a bunch of times and I always leave the meditation feeling better, more relaxed and with my heart soaring. Plus, I’m happy to take control and decide how I’m going to feel.
Give it a shot. The actual meditation starts about 7 minutes into the podcast. Try it for yourself and create your mood for the day. Listen to it here:

I’m feeling relaxed, calm and ready to kick some ass. What about you?
